Joe Cook Memorial Ice Arena

Cook Ice Arena opened in 1973, providing ice for Coon Rapids and the communities of Anoka and Blaine.

The arena has a standard 200 ft. x 85 ft. ice sheet. Cook Arena provides a large lobby, a figure skating/meeting room (available for birthday parties), bleacher seating for 700 people and 4 team rooms.

Both boys and girls high school teams have their own team rooms, complete with showers and individual lockers. Outside the arena there are shooting stations with nets. Hockey players can work on their shooting year round. A paved standard size hockey rink is next to the shooting stations.

A skateboard park is also available on the grounds.

For more information about the programs offered at the arena or ice rental, call 763-421-5035. Cook Arena is open mid June through the end of April.
